Methodology
How the evidence was gathered
| Workstream | What was done |
|---|---|
| Message audit | 66 captures of Dario's website, investor deck, 10-K/10-Q, Q2 2026 call, 17 press releases, PHTI reports and third-party listings. Titles, meta descriptions and H1s crawled from the sitemap. |
| Search demand and visibility | DataForSEO, US English: Google Ads volumes, Labs expansion (2,756 keyword rows), 53 SERPs with AI Overviews and People Also Ask, ranked keywords for 10 domains, Google Trends. Total spend $2.12. |
| Competitors and buyer language | 12 company captures, 10-K filings, PHTI, Business Group on Health, KFF, Mercer, state RFPs, Sourcewell. |
| Directional message test | Eight synthetic buyer personas (Claude Sonnet, fresh context, no tools). Seven anonymous one-line narratives each, in persona-specific random order: the five hypotheses plus two controls (Dario's homepage line and its investor/press line). Recall was answered before rating. A separate branded probe asked a persona what "DarioHealth" is. |
| Internal evidence | Recorded internal commercial and technical interviews, Aug to Oct 2026. |
Confidence labels
HIGH: multiple direct, checkable sources agree. MEDIUM: direct evidence with gaps, or a sound inference from it. LOW: thin, secondhand or unmeasured evidence.
Limitations
- Synthetic testing is not human research. All personas came from one model family. Results are directional, carry no statistical weight, and could not test the effect of the Dario brand name.
- Search data has limits. Search volume is not enterprise procurement demand. "Not measured" means Google withheld the figure, not that it is zero. Organic traffic figures are model estimates. SERPs are single desktop snapshots.
- No Google Search Console data. It was not authorized for dariohealth.com, so Dario's own query data was not used.
- Some sources were not reviewed or fetched. No channel or sales collateral was reviewed. Sword's site, the WTW 2026 survey and the full PHTI GLP-1 report were not fetched.
- Internal statements are unverified. Interview evidence is labelled throughout and reflects individual accounts.
Raw evidence is retained by the report author. The full research report is the source of truth for every number here.
